Elisabeta and Gheorghe David, art collectors, donated valuable works of art three times, in 1984, 2006 and 2007, of which 61 significant paintings are exhibited in the gallery named after them. This generous offering enriched the collection of the Art Museum with 150 works. The outstanding value of the donation is hallmarked by the signatures of notable representatives of modern and contemporary fine arts in Romania. In addition to this donation being a significant contribution to the artistic legacy, it is also a reverence towards the work of the artists represented here. The exhibited paintings are signed by Aurel Ciupe, Teodor Harșia, Alexandru Mohy, Balla József, Bene József, Ion Musceleanu, Ion Pacea, Balás Imre, Leon Vreme, Siklódi Tibor, Miron Duca and other famous names. In the small room, the density of the images evokes the intimate and hospitable atmosphere of the home of the David family.
